Take me back to the heavy time
From '85 to '89
It makes it easy so easy for me
Anyone remember Mr. Quarterback by Coleco in 1977? It was one of the best sports toys ever.
Had many of those toys shown in here, especially remember the Coleco handheld football game, wore that $#@!er out.
Also reminds me, I was the remote control. Dad would smack me in the back of the head..."change it to channel 5 boy."
This thread reminds of something I need to add to another thread.
Gave one of these for Christmas to a son in the late '70s:
mine didn't have the custom black tape on the handlebars, but i was still pretty much undefeated in neighborhood skidmark competition from '72-'77 /humblebrag.
Not too much bigger than a deck of cards, but that thing must have weighed 2-3 lbs. Still remember the loud metallic "pop" sound it made whenever you pushed one of the buttons.
Orange shag? Shoot... our was this weird olive green textured shag... it was the weirdest carpet. The previous owners must've wanted to match the olive green kitchen.
Oh, and we had a big ass TV like this
My memories start around 1980 or so...
There's one consistent theme to the toys of our era. They all required something called "imagination."
I sometimes think the reason we are falling behind in the S.T.E.M. fields, as compared to the rest of the world, isn't so much an educational issue...but also one of imagination.
Spent a lot of time with this:
I was a nerd before it was cool being a nerd.
The dictatorship let Dark Tower into Brazil? Hahaha.
That reminds me, lots of these:
Like Pete Campbell told Don and Ken: It's not just a sound system, it's a nice piece of furniture.
How has this not made it yet...
Oh and for games...
(Edit DOH, see this was already mentioned, but I'll leave it anyway. Was an awesome game)

Anyone remember Six Million Dollar Man fighting Bigfoot/Sasquatch episode? That Bigfoot gave me the night scares.
Holy $#@!balls, forgot the Japanese cartoons in space. Voltron, defender of the universe is another one.
I'm pretty sure that in the 70s, a bunch of kids eating cereal was NOT what was going on in this place:
And how did this guy not get sued into Bolivia for such widespread destruction of property?
Hah, and how have we not gotten to:
Football .. OC .. Basketball .. Baseball .. Other Sports .. RC Didn't Offer .. Gamboool
Varsity .. Hole in the Wall .. PCL .. Einstein's .. Nasty's .. GM Steakhouse .. NSAA .. Classics
