The HEB wing sauce is pretty solid, especially if you're not a fan of a heavy vinegar flavor in sauce.
Kuma was decent when the real sushi crew that are there from Austin and not trying to make asparagus and cream cheese sushi it can be good. They had terrible service and closed here recently(Wednesday last week I believe) their run may be over as it was. (and some of the food was good some was bad, that isn't a good sign for long term). I had some nice Uni there in their early days, was surprised.
Wako Roll is not good for sushi, but is good for spicy pork bulgogi.
if you have a maverick or similar probe thermometer you can make a DIY immersion rig. put steaks in a ziploc bag, get all the air out, mix up some boiling and tap water to 125 in a cooler, and hold steaks in water for ~2 hours. keep the water around 125, removing and reheating water to keep the temp up (an electric tea kettle works great for this).
otherwise, get an anova.

You are seriously missing out. It tastes the same as what my grandma used to make.
Oh and the menudo is in a vacuum sealed bag inside the tub. That may make it more unappealing but I don't care, $#@! is good.
The cheese and green chili tamales are great
HEB's spicy homemade guac is very, very good.
my problem with the guac is that they use all the good avocados when making it, so all that's left is the rock hard ones and the occasional overripe one.
Love the Taste of San Antonio blend.
Is that SA coffee a light, medium, or dark roast?
Just bought a jar of HEB cookie butter and it's delicious. I've never had the tj stuff. Hopefully HEB will release other flavors. My kiddo approved as a topping on a biscuit this morning.

Ironically, the only one I have tried that tasted nasty was the Austin blend. Houston is good if you like coconut, but not as a regular thing. French Vanilla and Bavarian Hazlenut are great...for those special times.
