Speaking of frozen French bread, these baguettes that HEB sells are great (ignore the meatballs):

Just here to verify that HEB's cookie butter is delicious. I could do damage to the jar with just a spoon.

Their turkey meatballs are pretty solid. Good calorie to protein ratio too.

I think somebody was bitching about the 50 corn 50 flour tortilas earlier in this thread.

I bought some and made fajitas and everybody thought they were great.

    What's the complaint about them?

H-E-B pulled pork with sauce is not very good :(

No matter how much the coupon it really isn't worth it, pass.

I think I remember the complaint being more about the concept of a 50/50 tortilla. Basically, if you like flour, you should just get flour and if you like corn, get corn.

they're OK. It's never been better or worse than I expected. And for $5 on a Wednesday, that's a cheap-ass dinner.

Wednesday is the only dad I'd buy them. They're good for what they are but I don't know it they're worth it any more. They changed the coupon deal to be about $7 now I think. Besides, which Heb doesn't have a papa murphys in the parking lot? Gimme that any day over what pizza selection is available in Heb.

I picked up an HEB frozen lasagna last week because I was getting ice cream and there was a coupon for a free half gallon Creamy Creations with purchase of said Lasagna, so it was like a dollar more. It was kinda meh. It had pepperonis all over the top of it, which might have been OK if there was cheese and sauce underneath the pepperonis, but it seemed like a cheap cheat to cut cost. Not much cheese on the inside, either. It was edible, but several steps below a Stouffer's or Green Giant frozen lasagna. It was one of my bigger disappointments in $#@! HEB makes.

Also just snacked on some HEB beef sticks, which are excellent. They're kind of thick, very moist and easy to chew, as good or better than any other beef stick brands I have tried.

it's ok to step out of your comfort zone once in a while. TJ sells a lot of their own branded stuff that's good. there's a thread on it.
