    Dessert ideas

So I have not one, but two, different things to go to this weekend, in which I somehow got roped into agreeing to bring dessert. I work crazy hours, so don't want to make something that's crazy time consuming. Any ideas?

    Thanks. That looks really good.

Also, I should add that I like to bake. I just don't want to spend hours and dirty every dish in the kitchen, i.e. nothing from "Ad Hoc at Home." I'm thinking maybe a simple cake.

I've made those a few times. It's a solid fudgy brownie recipe. Be sure to toast the nuts in a dry pan to maximize their flavor before adding them to the batter.

Anyone have a good chocolat pots de creme recipe? GF has been hounding me for months to make this for her, and I've got some ramikins now, so there's no excuse not to.

Actually the cobbler recipe from Ad Hoc at Home is quite easy and very delicious. Since it sounds like you already have the book.

Make a Ritz cracker/peanut butter sandwich. Melt chocolate. Dip sandwich in chocolate. Refrigerate.

Thanks. Just looked it up. That sounds really good.

I think I'm still scarred from the chicken soup recipe that required 7 pans.
