Is that austin poker room still open?
yeah, but they charge $8 an hour now.
I've heard it's hard to get a seat if you don't get there at the opening.
Some were predicting it couldn't last, is it here to stay?
Gonn a play the June 6 $1500 WSOPxevent this year. Cashed last year. I hope to back to back cash!
I'm going June 6-14, playing HORSE, 6Max, Razz (trying to improve on my top 30 finish last year) and Millionaire Maker (trying to cash in it 3rd straight year)
Whats up guys. Been a while. forgot my login and changed computers so I just registered under a new name. prev. uncleogoose.
Anyway, Been driving a flatbed for a month now and playing every casino in Ok,Ks, and a few other states. Lost my bankroll last year when some big bills came up so I have been rebuilding from a 300 buy in since Feb. 2nd. Been on a decent up swing with only two losing sessions (one 1000 loss at Riverwind 2/5) but had a really good week last week. Stopped in Bossier City and cashed 826 on a 300 buy in 1/3, then went down to Lauberge (sp) and cashed out with 1915 on a 400 buy in 1/3. Finally stopped off at Winstar on Friday and sat at 2/5 with 500. Was only there for 3 hours but had some loose drunks at the table and walked with 1275.
That game a Lauberge game was really juicy. 2 guys had 3k on the table and one super drunk was pushing all the action. I will be back there asap.
csb and all that.
This weeks update. Monday night at Kansas star 1/3 90 loss. Tues at Ameristar in St. Louis 1/2 126 profit. Wed. at Hard Rock Tulsa 1/2 139 profit. Thurs at Winstar 2/5 801 profit. Winstar has been good to me the last 3 visits. There were two obvious pros at the table last night and it really cut into my ability to make plays in spots because of position or they would make the play first.
The donk of the week was some lesbo with a Beeber hair do at the Hard rock. She raised early to 12 and I popped it to 45 with QQ. She called and the flop was 10 6 2 rainbow. She bet out 75 and I called. turn was a J. She bet 125 and I shoved my 350 in the middle and she called. River is a K and she turns over AK off. FML. I re bought and went on a raise, reraise tirade and got it all back in an hour.
Jackpot bad beat hit today at Choctaw. I wasn't on the table. KK beat QQ on board K-K-Q-Q-blank. $115k.
So I started a regular monthly tournament game at my house yesterday. Nice friendly game.
Anyway, this was the highlight of my night:
It's been years since I played 1/2 or 2/5 in Vegas. I used to play at the Venetian and MGM. Going back next month. Where are the hot spots now?
Day tripped to the Golden Nugget yesterday to play some 1-3. Started slow but started to get some hands, hitting 2 sets and a couple of flushes and built my stack up to $900. A guy sits down after buying in for $2000 and was seriously bullying the table. You know the type, betting $150 on the flop into a $40 pot. I wake up to a pair of queens and open with $20 and the bully calls. Flop come Qd, 8s,4s. I check into the bully and the guy bets $500! Bingo! I push and bully calls. Turn comes 10s. $#@!. Please pair the board. Nope. 9s on the river.. Bully turns over the 5,6 of spades. But wait. 1 of my queens is a spade. Ship me that $1,800 pot!

Wsop trip booked. June 17-19. Short I know but it's what I've got to work with. *thats what she said.
June 6-15 here
Unless I screw up our last qualifying tournament in two weeks, I will win a seat for the $1500 HORSE on June 7 so will be there June 6-June 9
don't think i am doing the Colossus this year. don't like them shortening the 1st day levels.
probably looking at a normal $1k event on June 12 or June 26. if I get brave and want to spend the extra $500, the millionaire maker.
That's a cheap rate for a topless massage
If anyone else is playing Hellmuth's Pineapple on iPhone/pad, add me... @lurchjd
Phil Hellmuth: On the road again! Heading to Dallas for 36 hrs, then @ChoctawDurant to sharpen my tourney skills for @WSOP. Weds floor seats for Spurs/Mavs
Gold Coast is $140 total for two nights including resort fees and taxes. Less than 1/2 the Rio. Sooner tells me it is a short walk to the Rio, but is it a craphole?
Stay at rio. Book through their site. Don't worry about rate. When you check out you get WSOP rate
And it's nice to be able to $#@! or shower in room on breaks.

You certainly did, you sonuvabitch.
As reported earlier in the day, Phillip Hellmuth III, the son of Poker Great Phil Hellmuth won his entry into the $1,675 Poker Night in America Main Event through a super satellite yesterday. On elder Phil’s break from the high stakes PNIA game earlier today, he checked in on his son in the Main Event.
Fast forward a few hours and the cash game has just wrapped up for the night. Hellmuth once again sought out his son among the remaining tournament players, finding him at a table across the room with Matt Glantz and Lauren Bunch.
Hellmuth Sr. walked up behind his son and said, “No matter what, do not ever fold jacks or tens to Matt Glantz pre-flop.” The dealer then began to deal the next hand.
Hellmuth Jr. raised it up in middle position, and Matt Glantz bet enough to put Hellmuth all in. After a moment’s pause, Hellmuth called and tabled pocket tens. Glantz turned over pocket queens.
Unfortunately for Hellmuth, Jr. the board ran out safe for Glantz. Hellmuth Jr. gathered his belongings and walked away from the table with his father walking right beside him.
Would y'all mind posting more stories about your games? Bad beats, etc. For some reason, I really enjoy reading them.
Playing Winstar tonight before golf tourney here tomorrow morning. Sit w $500 at $2/5.
Tough table, $#@!ty cards, poor play by me, whatever... Down to about $175. Decide in on my last circuit.
I'm on the button. Straddle opens, 3 callers. I look down at A6o. What the hell, have $10.
Flop comes AAA. Yahtzee!
UTG bets $35 into $60. Next player raises to $70. I smoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooth call. UTG calls.
Turn comes something or other. UTG checks, raiser looks at my stack and puts in just enough to put me all in. I pause only briefly. UTG calls.
Check check on the river and they both fold face down. Good times.
I'm up like $30 on the night. One last circuit I guess
One more hand or one more orbit often seems to produce a big hand one way or another, typically after I have racked my chips.
Now UTG+1. UTG limps and I follow w 99. MP makes it $30 and four of us call. $150 pot.
Flop A92 rainbow. Checks around. $#@!.
Turn Ten and now we've got two suited cards. Checks to me and I go $75. Two callers. $375 pot.
Another 2 on river gives me boat. I go $160 and get one caller. Ship it. One more circuit I guess...
Bah. AQ flop Q96 rainbow w $120 pot. Checks around.
Ten turn. I $70, button makes it $180. What? I call.
8 river. I check, he goes $300. I can't figure out what's going on and hate-fold.
I'm done for the night. 7:30 tee time
