What was the outcome of OU vs KState?
It's going to be hard to convince me tcu isn't the 4th best team in our conference.
OU was already screwed before that Woodward injury, but that really made things bad .
OU like Texas is playing a bunch of young guys. I bet that team eventually ends up pretty good in a year or 2.
So I'm guessing tomorrow BU jumps Villanova but does KU jump them as well? Also, will WVA stay in the top 10?
Nova will drop 4 slots or so. Ku will be in the 2 hole
Yeah. I forgot Gonzaga is still undefeated. They'll probably slip into the 3 spot.
As much as I bitch, I keep forgetting that half of our losses are to Baylor and Gonzaga by a total of 3 points and neither of those games were at Hilton.
The supposedly terrible Big 12 has three top 10 teams and AP 1 and 2.
I don't know if they're the best team in the country but that's not how polls/rankings work anyway. Good for the conference.
Who is saying the B12 is terrible?
Football we often get shafted, but we generally get our due in MBB.
It is really hard to tell how good the teams are. These conference games have been close. A lot of schools play rather weak non conference schedules and have a glossy record this time of the year. TCU, Tech, and KSU have great records and have played well the first few conference games.
Clearly, Baylor deserves to be #1 based their body of work. When you are number one the game dynamics change. It will be interested to see how Baylor responds.
The top teams all have shown some flaws. Does anyone shoot free throws well any more?
It is also important to note that some teams will get better during the conference season and some will regress. This conference is a grind.
#1 Baylor @ #10 West Virginia at 6 tonight.
Line is currently at WVU -6. Should be a good one (as long as the BU guards show up this week).
I'm thinking loss. Wouldn't be all bad to take a less embarrassing loss at wvu then lose to someone not as good.
Big 12 Slate tonight. Obviously the big one is the first top 10 matchup of conference play but KSU-TTU interests me. I might have had KSU underrated before conference play and I definitely had TTU underrated
I'm having a real hard time seeing KSU at #25. I just can't wrap my head around them finishing higher than 7-8 in the conference. If they keep winning I'll give them plenty of due credit but I just don't see it. I think TCU is far better than them and TCU has played a harder schedule so far.
TCU is going to have a major chip if they keep winning and get no love. That's a recipe for greatness in march.
I think Baylor wins tonight. I don't think they'll have much trouble with the WVU press defense and they have more scoring options than they did the last year or two.
If Baylor continues to play how they have been then they also might start having a great home court. They had like 10,000+ fans I think at their last game?
When I went for their Xavier game I noticed the students aren't really up near the action which is stupid but it still got loud there. At least when compared to how the Drum has been the past few years.
I have no idea how WVU's home court is because they're relatively new.
EDIT TO ADD: I forgot about GIA! They are not quite at Hilton and Octagon levels but they have a great home court advantage too. TTU might get one and TCU I have no idea about since it's a new arena. $#@! OU though.

WVU chanting "no means no!" during free throws! Lol I was wondering when a team would use that on them. Should've known it would be WVU cause their fans give zero $#@!s.
Sold out arena for them too.
Somehow WVU isn't blowing them out. 16 TO's for BU at 4 minutes left in the first half but it's still a single digit game.
39-31 WVU at half
No idea if I'm impressed with BU keeping it at 7 at the half or if WVU is just $#@!ting the bed to a lesser extent than Baylor at the moment.
WVU starting to pull away. If I was a Baylor homer I'd be mad because it seems like they're getting beaten up when going for rebounds but the Refs know how WVU plays (physical of course) so they won't blow whistles as often.
WVU might push our $#@! in so far we throw it up. Then we follow that up with Baylor and KU.
WVU seems to be getting a lot of the 50/50 and ticky tack calls though.
Miles was simply waiting for the rim to go back up so that it would be safe for him to come down.
WVU has been so impressive all night. Press Virginia at its finest.
Baylor's getting the Deliverance treatment
The officiating is all over the place with this game
One thing about WV bball fans is they will bitch and bitch about the number of fouls that get called on them and never see that they could have been called for probably twice the amount they get called for. Hands all over the place at all times. Baylor just looks like $#@!.
I agree, it's almost like the refs are scared to call everyone of them as it would be such a free throw shooting contest. If the refs let WVU play like this, I think everybody might lose up there
Big 12 Homecourts.
2. Hilton. Gap between 1&2 has more to do with talent on the floor than intensity in stands.
4. WVU Coliseum. These arenas have a lot in common. I think prior to Big 12 membership, WVU was more like Allen and Hilton. Improved squad and familiarity with conference foes has energized the fanbase. Bramlage had a coming out party under Huggy in the mid aughts. It was a joke before that. It's feared now.
5. GIA. Was one of the most feared arenas in the Big 8 and early Big 12. The dagger of Travis Ford and the Thunder have damaged it. It holds this spot on reputation, and a belief that were a good OSU/bad Thunder away from a return to form.
