Allen clearly doesn't deserve any benefit of the doubt, but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. He's in mid air sacrificing his body to save the ball -- which is a pretty damn good hustle play in my book -- and he's off balance. Looks to me more like he's trying not to collide with the coach instead of trying to injure him.
I have never seen anyone who's first instinct is to push off when they are trying to stop themselves.
I $#@!ing LOVE to hate this cry-baby $#@!. He's the best thing to happen to Duke basketball and that rat-$#@! coach of theirs in a decade.
Clearly a push off and intentional.
Ive seen hundreds of players dive for balls out of bounds
Thats the FIRST time ive ever seen someone push someone down/push off someone. Period
Dude can't even go 1 game without pulling more questionable $#@!. Says enough.
Hard to look at that and not think it was intentional.
Definite intentional push. His hands should either be grabbing top of guys shoulder to brace the fall or back to the chair to brace his fall. But his natural instinct was clearly to push the guy rather than prevent from crashing through the chairs.
What a thunder $#@!. $#@! him.
Hate that $#@!er. He's a POS dirty player.
I can see that coach K's discipline program has had a profound effect. Obviously some real soul searching took place.
Watch the ACC suspend the UL player for that bitch slap.
Definitely shoved that coach. I'm not sure I've ever seen a player pull that one. Time for another indefinite suspension. They're playing an 0-10 team next I believe.....
He should have slapped him harder
Allen just dislocated his finger when he slammed it into a Miami player's face. Miami up 11 at half.
Everything's fixed now. Coach K invited the players to his house, then informed them that they're not allowed to wear Duke apparel anymore until they earn it.
It's so weird how Coach K has his back surgeries right before his teams are about to lose a ton of games. Just good luck, I guess.
Allen needs help. He's going to go postal in the Duke locker room before the season's out.
You make that sound like it's a bad thing.
I remember it like it was yesterday, Luke Witte was never the same.. Corky Taylor and Ron Behagan were thugs.. kicked him in the face after he was down... of course Grayson got a nice smack to the face a few games later as well... no call...
Called for a tripping foul today, but this was a standard foul and not an egregious bitch move. So for those who think it's only a witch hunt, well, nope.
Never had instant play before. Always had to work for it.
I liked how he simultaneously threw an elbow and flopped (throwing his head back like he had been hit). What a bitch.
At this point his sub-par play and recurring attitude issues may have torpedoed his draft stock so much that he returns for his senior season. Not sure whether Duke should be happy about that, if it happens.
This dude is a dork. It'd be one thing if he was tearing it up. But he's not. He has 3 fouls today and 0 points. Also, 2 of his fouls were frustration fouls which led to free throws for Clemson. Then his technical after a foul led to an easy 4 points and got them back in the game. He adds very little to Duke at this point and is a meltdown waiting to happen the second something does not go his way. And usually hurts his team in the end.
