Best Defender left in NFL Playoffs

Curious who most folks would consider to be the best defensive player still playing in these playoffs are? To start, here are the teams and who I'd consider their best defensive player:

    Dallas - Sean Lee
    Atlanta - Vic Beasley
Seattle - Toughest - I'd go with Bobby Wagner
Green Bay - Ha Ha Clinto-Dix

    New England - Dont’a Hightower
    KC - Marcus Peters
    Pitt - Ryan Shazier
    Hou - Clowney

    Cowboys version of Dylan Haines..

except Heath actually has a little speed and can bring the wood from time to time. (between getting juked)

It's not Clowney for HOU. It's Demps or Mercilus.

Mercilus rushes the passer and Demps is a 'jag'. If it's anyone other than Clowney maybe AJ Bouye. But definitely not Demps or Whitney, imo

Sean Lee may be the best golfer of that group, but he isn't the best defender on his team

Is he the most important defender on his team? if not, it sure seems like they've struggled when he's not on the field.

Mercilus was better than Clowney last year. This year: Clowney is the best player on Houston's defense and it's not really even close.

Who is if Sean Lee isn't? I can't even make a legitimate argument for anybody else, unless I'm missing someone.

Bouye has been as impactful I would argue. If not more impactful. Without him stepping up, our secondary would be nowhere near capable to keep us in playoff form. JC has been a beast. But not sure without him that our front 7 wouldn't still do well.

As for the OP, it's interesting this year. Seems like defense is down across the board this year, especially now that the Giants are out of the playoffs.

I think he's further down the food chain. Earl Thomas is their clear #1 but he's out. I think Wagner or Bennett or #2. Bennett is a $#@!ing aggy clown so I give the nod to Wagner. You know for spite.

He is but I never saw him as their best asset on defense. I'd put Earl, Wagner and Bennett ahead of him.

lol Vic sometimes I think you wait for somebody to quote a question and give their answer, just so you can say the exact same thing with a slight variation. And I would definitely put Bennett as the best defensive player on Seattle this year, Cart McCoy comments aside.

Or I read the replies as they come in with the First Unread button and quote them before I see the replies after them.

Can't believe he slipped my mind, as I too agree that he has been awesome this year. I'd still put him at 2nd after Clowney, but he's closer to the top in my mind than Mercilus or Demps.

Peters or Clowney. Bit of a gap after those two imo.

I think Houston and Berry are both better than Peters, but it's close between about 6 guys on that defense.

For Seattle, you could probably pick any out of Kam/Bennett/Wright/Wagner/Sherman.

Disrupting the game-wise I would say Bennett, Clowney, Houston or Beasley.

Overall I would say Bobby Wagner. Not that he's dramatically better than the other guys, but he's elite and having a helluva year. He better win DPOY.
